Accuracy & Citations

Every claim traced. Every source linked.

Every finding includes a precise citation — section, page, and clause — so you can verify any claim in seconds. If the AI can't cite it, it doesn't say it.

Citation System

Not just "see page 28." The exact clause.

Insurance Advice points you to the exact section, clause heading, and page — and lets you click to open the source PDF at that precise location.

  • Section number, page, and clause heading in every citation
  • Click any citation to jump to the source in the PDF viewer
  • Citations preserved in exported reports and client summaries
  • If the AI can't cite a source, it doesn't make the claim
Analysis output — with citations
Property Damage limit: $5,000,000 Schedule p.3
Business Interruption: 12 months indemnity, 72hr waiting S5.1 p.44
Flood: Excluded under GE 12. No carve-back. GE.12 p.41
Machinery sub-limit: $50,000 — below market S3.2(b) p.34
Endorsement 3: Referenced but not provided p.12
Confidence levels explained
High
90–100% · Explicit in document
Directly stated — policy number, declared limit, named excess.
→ Proceeds automatically
Medium
60–89% · Requires interpretation
Implied, uses "up to" or "generally," may be superseded by endorsements.
→ Flagged for light review
Low
30–59% · Inferred from context
Indirect evidence or partial information. Referenced documents may be missing.
→ Requires expert review
Confidence Scoring

The AI tells you when it's uncertain.

Every data point gets an individual confidence score — not one blanket score. High means explicit. Medium means interpretation needed. Low means expert review is essential.

  • Per-field scoring — not one score for the whole document
  • Rationale explains why the AI is or isn't confident
  • Step-by-step scoring outperforms blanket scoring by 15%
  • High proceeds, Medium flags, Low requires human review
Zero Hallucination

If it's not in the PDS, the AI says so.

The most dangerous AI output is a confident wrong answer. Insurance Advice is designed to refuse rather than fabricate.

  • "NOT_FOUND_IN_DOCUMENT" for missing information
  • "AMBIGUOUS_REQUIRES_REVIEW" for unclear provisions
  • Missing endorsements and SPDS flagged explicitly
  • Grounded exclusively in uploaded documents
What happens when information is missing
Does this policy cover professional negligence?
This PDS does not contain a Professional Indemnity section. Professional negligence claims are not addressed in this document.

The Product Guide (referenced p.3) lists a separate PI product not included in this upload.
What about cyber-related BI losses?
Cyber events are excluded under General Exclusion 9. GE.9 p.38

This exclusion does not contain a carve-back, so there is no coverage pathway for cyber-related BI. GE.9(a)–(d) p.38–39
How accuracy works

Three layers of accuracy assurance.

Structured extraction, per-field confidence scoring, and citation-grounded verification working together.

1

Structured extraction

7-step analysis with validated JSON schema. Every field populated or explicitly marked as not found.

2

Per-field confidence

Individual score with written rationale. Step-by-step evaluation catches overconfident extractions on ambiguous clauses.

3

Citation verification

Every finding includes a source reference. Click to open the original PDF at the exact location.

What gets cited

Every output type. Every time.

Citations aren't limited to PDS Analysis. Every feature includes source references.

PDS Analysis

Every coverage, exclusion, condition includes a section/page citation. Click to open the PDF at that clause.

Coverage Comparison

Every cell in the comparison matrix links to the source clause in each policy.

Ask IA Responses

Every chat answer includes inline citations. Click to verify in the original document.

Gap Detection

Gaps cited to the section where coverage should appear or where the exclusion creating the gap is located.

Client Summaries

Exported plain-English summaries retain all citations. Clients can verify any finding themselves.

Audit Trail

Every logged event includes citations. ASIC compliance packs include the full citation chain.

Handling Ambiguity

Ambiguity surfaced. Never hidden.

Instead of guessing what "generally," "up to," or "unless otherwise agreed" mean, Insurance Advice flags them and explains why they require expert interpretation.

  • Flagged with "AMBIGUOUS_REQUIRES_REVIEW" status
  • Explains what makes the provision ambiguous
  • Multiple possible interpretations when relevant
  • Routed to your review queue — not buried in a footnote
Ambiguity detection example
Ambiguous provision detected
S5.2 p.45
BI indemnity period: "up to 12 months"
Why this is ambiguous: "Up to" could mean the insured always gets 12 months, or the insurer has discretion. The schedule does not specify a fixed period.
Definition conflict
GD p.8 vs S3 p.31
"Building" is defined in General Definitions (p.8) but overridden with a narrower definition in Section 3 (p.31). Confirm which applies.
